A Map of a Map
The year 1796 tells only half the story. The map states that it was copied from an older model dating from the time of Charles XI, that is, the late seventeenth century. It therefore preserves an image of Stockholm that was already historical when the copy was made.

Poster with an old map of Stockholm in 1817. On the map we see, among other things, the text " Stockholm's location, copied from an old charter, which was made in the time of King Carl the XI" .
