The story behind the motif

Poster with a vintage photograph taken in 1940 by Sjöberg / KG Kristofferson. The photograph shows a woman applying lipstick while looking at her reflection, seen through a lattice-like window. 

Stig Sjöberg was a Swedish photographer active in the middle of the 20th century, known for his documentary images of everyday life, people and society. His photography is often characterized by presence, human warmth and a feeling for the importance of the small moment.

The photographer K.G. Kristoffersson was a Swedish photographer active in the middle of the 20th century, especially known for documentary and press photography.
