The Trademark Before the Poster
“Cocktail-Sild” was already a registered trademark when Gunnar Tandberg made the poster around 1930. Chr. Bjelland & Co. had filed the name in Oslo on 15 March 1928, and a Danish registration a few years later still referred to that Norwegian application – a small trace of how the company worked with the name across borders.
