The story behind the motif
Poster with the beautiful painting In the Harbour, or the Swedish title: Vid Hamnen . The painting was created in 1884 by Adolf Fredrik Nordling, a Swedish painter.
Nordling studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm and with Carl Frederik Sørensen in Copenhagen. Nordling's paintings are characterized by a powerful impressionist style, where he mainly made marine paintings with lively and bright colors.
