Five Years After the Opening
When photographer V. Lundgren took the picture in 1933, the great waiting hall was only five years old. It had replaced the station’s former track embankment and was considered modern, not least because of its carefully planned daylight from windows and skylights. The hall also had a drinking fountain where travellers could draw clean water.
