The story behind the motif

Poster with a vintage photograph of Gösta Ekman (1939–2017), taken by Sjöberg. The photograph captures Gösta Ekman in the middle of one of her typically expressive gestures with a raised finger, mischievously wide eyes and a glimmer of playful irony in her gaze.

The characteristic beret, bow tie and round glasses give him the unmistakable style that became part of his stage persona, both in the theater and in the world of film. Gösta Ekman was one of Sweden's most beloved actors, with a career that spanned from comic roles in The Jönsson League to deeper character roles in Ingmar Bergman's productions. He was known for his precision, his body language and his ability to turn even the smallest scenes into vivid moments. 

This photograph captures precisely the playful side of Gösta Ekman, the one who moved freely between improvisation and control, between seriousness and laughter. A timeless portrait of an artist whose charm, warmth and acting genius continue to inspire.
