The story behind the motif

Poster with a unique, old photograph of K the youth sports ground and the current unveiling of Charles IX's statue on September 7, 1904. The streets are packed with people who have even gathered on the roofs of buildings to watch the event.

The statue was created by sculptor and professor John Börjeson. In 1936, the statue was moved to the east side of the street.
