Hand-assembled in Sweden

The story behind the motif

Canvas with a beautiful portrait of Charles XV , created by the artist Friedrich Dürck. Karl XV was king of Sweden and Norway from 1859 until his death in 1872.

Charles XV was crowned in Sweden on May 3 and in Norway on August 5, 1860. During this time, there were bad relations between Sweden and Norway, which affected Charles' entire reign. Unfortunately, he did not succeed with Scandinavian politics as he had hoped.

Friedrich Dürck was a German portrait and genre painter. He was a student of Veit Hans Schnorr von Carolsfeld as well as Joseph Karl Stieler . After his education, Dürck spent several study breaks in Italy and he became a skilled portrait painter.

If you order from Norway, your order will be delivered with Fedex; to Sweden and the rest of the world with DHL. Your package is normally delivered to your nearest pickup point!
