The story behind the motif
Hornsgatan west from Ragvaldsgatan in 1904. During industrialization at the end of the 19th century, Södermalm grew rapidly and became primarily the working class residential area. In the picture we see two trams and men and women in detailed, period clothing for the turn of the century.
