The story behind the motif

Poster with a vintage photograph that shows a scene from the 1955 Kristianstad Grand Prix , the first Swedish Grand Prix for sports cars at the Råbelöfsbanan.

In the photograph we see a Mercedes-Benz sports car with starting number 1 being pushed forward by several mechanics and officials ahead of the Kristianstad Grand Prix in 1955. Spectators, officials and race personnel can be seen all around. The picture captures the intense work behind the scenes on competition day.

The picture was taken in Sweden in 1955.
