Sannost After the Christmas Service
In Värmland, mesost could be called sannost and finely grated over klengås, a festive bread cake spread with butter. A record from Västra Emtervik tells how it was eaten after the Christmas morning service on Christmas Day, together with sweet cheese and a shot of spirits.
