The story behind the motif

Poster with a photo from 1965 of the well-known troubadour Fred Åkerström ( 1937-1985) sitting on a curb with his guitar in hand.

Fred Åkerström was a popular troubadour and lyricist and was particularly known for his interpretations of Carl Michael Bellman's music as well as his self-written songs.

Åkerström had a unique ability to sing deep notes with his characteristic bass voice - especially in his interpretations of Bellman.
