The story behind the motif

Poster with a beautiful, old map from the 18th century. The detailed map is hand drawn and on it we see the text: " Charter over Ladugårdsgärdet with most of Kongl. Djurgården " - which describes the area we see in the picture.

Ladugårdsgärdet, or Gärdet , is a neighborhood in northeast Stockholm's inner city. The district lies east and northeast of Östermalm. Today we can find, among other things , the Maritime History Museum and the Technical Museum in the area.
