The story behind the motif

Poster with a motif from a sunny Björkliden in 1930. During the 1930s, Björkliden, a village and mountain station in northern Sweden, grew into a popular destination for adventurous travelers. Located in an impressive mountain landscape, Björkliden offered activities such as hiking, fishing and skiing in both summer and winter. The photograph shows several of these travelers enjoying the sunny weather in a snow-covered Björkliden.
