The story behind the motif
Finding parking in a period where cars were increasingly popular could be difficult. In the picture you see a woman who easily lifts her small antique car into place when pocket parking might feel difficult. The picture was taken during the 1950s, but we don't know exactly where the picture was taken, but our guess is the United States.
The car in the picture is probably a Kleinschnittger F 125. In principle, it is a motorcycle disguised as a car. As it was light, it was popular among those who traveled a lot, for example among those who worked at sea and needed to be able to lift on and off ships.
